Privacy policy

Who we are

Caddient is a golf strategy app at caddientgolf.com, operated by Caddient, Serbia. We decide how your personal data is used. Questions or requests: privacy@caddientgolf.com.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and name, from sign-in.
• Golf profile: handicap, distance unit, your clubs with carry, total and dispersion.
• Launch monitor photos you choose to import. We send the photo to Anthropic to read the numbers on it and keep only the numbers you confirm. We do not store the photo.
• Rounds: course, date, tees, scores, the shots you log and where they finished on the course, and the weather at the course.
• Location: your phone's precise location, only while the on-course screen is open and only if you allow it. It shows distances and places the shots you log. We do not track you in the background.
• Coach features: if you share your bag with a coach, a copy goes to the coach's email address. Coaches' feedback on strategies is stored with their account.
• Subscription: your plan and its status. Paddle handles payment; we never see your card details.

What we use it for

• To calculate your strategy for each hole and show it to you.
• To show your statistics and round history.
• To run your account and your subscription.
• To find and fix problems in the app.

We do not sell your data, show ads or use it for advertising. The legal bases are our contract with you (running the app) and our legitimate interest in keeping it working and secure.

Who processes data for us

• Base44: hosting, sign-in and database.
• Anthropic: reads the numbers on launch monitor photos you import. Under its API terms, Anthropic does not train its models on this data.
• Upstash: short-lived counters that limit photo imports per account.
• Paddle: payments, as merchant of record. Paddle is the seller on your receipt and handles taxes.
• Golf Intelligence and OpenStreetMap: course maps and data. They receive course searches, not your account.
• Esri (ArcGIS): satellite map images, loaded by your browser.
• wttr.in: weather for the course you play, by the course's location.

Some of these providers are outside Serbia and the EU. Where needed, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

On your device

The app stores settings and work in progress in your browser (for example your selected course, an unsent round and display preferences). We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it, and deleting your account

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the app: Home, then Delete account at the bottom. This removes your bag, rounds, shots, notes and coach shares. Removed data is held in our provider's recovery bin for up to 30 days, then erased.

Before you delete, we ask why you are leaving. If you answer, we keep the answer without your name, email or account, to improve Caddient. If you accept the offer to stay, we keep it with your account until it is used.

If you have an active subscription, cancel it first so you are not charged again.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Write to privacy@caddientgolf.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Serbia, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection; in the EU, your local authority).

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information, and you have the right to know, delete and correct it.

Children

Caddient is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
